I.D. contest -- of sorts

Inspired by BirdChick's recent contests, I'd like to offer a different version: Pinpoint my current age.

See, today is my birthday. To reduce the psychological pain of the passing of another year, I'm offering y'all the chance to win the hardcover version of Songbird Journeys: Four Seasons in the Lives of Migratory Birds by Miyoko Chu or the Voices of North American Owls two-CD set. The choice of prizes goes to the first correct commenter.

UPDATE: Contest over! See the comments for the winner.

A safe answer for every guy. 29 of course. And you don't look a day older.

You're obviously not a day over 29.

Hmmm, this is tough. I don't think you are as old as I am but the baby picture has a distinctly 1960's feel to it. I'm going to go older than the others and say 40. But I don't know.

I think you disclosed that info to me at one point but I'm going to say early to mid thirties, 34ish.

Hmmm..... I'm guessing from the toddler picture and the colors in it and the style of dress..... 44?

I'll agree with the others though. If you just gave us a current photo, I'd go younger.

Blame Sharon. I wandered over from her blog :-D

No one's guessed 41 yet, so I'll go with that.

Okay, I will take a shot and say 45, since no one guessed that. But you really don't look 45!
Happy birthday!

I think the rapidly aging Amy is my fault, I posted a link in my blog to the contest before the age had been guessed and hinted to my readers that the actual Amy age hadn't been posted.

For the love of Pete, no one go any higher so she won't kill me!

The toddler photo (clothing and pose) looks just like a photo of my cousin when she was that age. She's 38 now, so that's what I will guess, although you certainly look much younger than that in your current photo.

Egads! Thanks for playin', everyone!

The toddler photo was taken in 1973, when I turned 2... which means Shelly was correct with 35.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, y'all! They definitely helped ease the psychological pain. And yes, Shelly, the festivities will continue for another week or so (c:

Wait, you're 35? I still maintain you look 29, but, man I messed this up all over the place. The age was correctly guessed in the first comment? Oopsie.

Oh dear.

From now on I'm keeping my nose out of your contests.

Birdchick, glad to see that my campaign of immature behavior had concealed my correct age from your eagle eyes ;)

Wow, I was way off! I got thrown by the 60s-looking blue. But wasn't there some kind of rule in the 70s that avocado green, harvest gold, brown or orange had to show up somewhere if not everywhere? At least whoever did our house certainly felt that way. *shudder*
