I've heard some people pronounce "tire" with two syllables, no doubt in an insidious effort to disrupt the delicate harmony of haikus like this one. Then again, I've heard "pie" pronounced with two syllables.
Insidious indeed! Perhaps their mouths elongate "tire" after imbibing too much of that beverage.
You have Fat Tire and I have none--curse their distribution! I'm so bummed. Have one for me, baby.
