Amy-
I'd like to know what in your background brought you to be the editor of Wildbird? Were you in journalism before becoming a birder?
Hi Lynne!
Si, I earned a journalism degree and began working at a magazine publishing firm in 1995. It produces multiple magazines, so I hopscotched a little before joining WildBird in 1998. This topic and community really grew on me, and I became editor in 2002.
Did I know much about birds and birding before 1998? Very little. This gig has been -- and continues to be -- truly educational!
Thanks for the question, Lynne.
