Quick! I'm going to Guatemala on Monday night...

Any suggestions about an essential item that must go with me (other than a binocular) and can be purchased this weekend? Thanks in advance.

Take a head net--there can be bugs in the Peten.
Have fun!

Remember you're going on rainy season, so make sure to take some Off! with you. Also, you'll probably need to buy some "quetzales" (local currency) before you leave L.A., enough to give you time to get to an ATM once there. Without making any assumptions, make sure to make an electronic copy (scan) of your first/last pages of your passport and your ticket. Good luck, enjoy Guate and have fun!

I've got the Off and the photocopies, and I'll look into a currency exchange office this weekend or at LAX. Gracias!
