Ivory-bill in the news again

Yesterday, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer ran an Associated Press article about the lawsuit to halt the Grand Prairie Irrigation Project.

Attorneys representing the National Wildlife Federation and Arkansas Wildlife Federation argued yesterday that U.S. District Judge William R. Wilson should stop the project--created to help farmers and the local economy--until the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers completes more studies about the project's affect on Ivory-billed Woodpeckers.

Judge Wilson also heard from the U.S. Justice Department lawyer and said he would make a decision as quickly as possible.
