Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Improvement Act of 2006

On Friday, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed the Neotropical Migratory Bird Conservation Improvement Act of 2006 (H.R. 518). The bill specifies matching grants for conservation programs for migratory birds and would authorize $6.5 million per year for projects through 2010. The bill now goes to President Bush for his signature.

You'll find details about NMBCA (nimb-ka) and the grant process online. The application deadline is Dec. 4, 2006.
